About

Country road in the mist, lined with trees, photographed by Jérôme Martin

When I photograph, what holds my attention is a detail: a light, a well-judged frame, a graphic line. That is what gives an image its allure.

I find the same gesture in my passion for architecture and, more broadly, art: a building is only as good as the precision of its design, the right choice of materials and the craft behind it. Together, these three requirements give it substance.

I live these same requirements in my daily work too, an artisan at heart more than a geek, running the information systems of an industrial group. Beyond the technique, like an architect, the same requirements guide my hand: the precision of the overall design, the right choice of building blocks, the craft. They do more than hold the structure up: they give it its allure. That allure is what this site is about: posts on photography, architecture and everything that feeds my eye, away from the suit I wear at work.
